Freezes

Has been freezing my iPhone 8 Plus. Still using the app, but am getting tired of killing the app, waiting for my phone to recover, then re-opening the app. Problem is about a month old to this point, I see that I’m not alone in experiencing this glitch, so what the hell Google - is this a ploy of some kind?
