Articles No Longer Accessible

Until recently Google News was a good place to check out leading news stories, but sadly it now appears to only be a money grubbing front for subscription seeking publications. Most of the “stories” listed under Headlines now are from publishers like the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Washington Post that once you click you find are only available for paid subscribers. Even the diminishing number of articles still available for free have more and more very obtrusive ads and pop-ups that can only be stopped by force quitting the entire app. This is one customer who therefore will now be permanently deleting the Google News app from my iPhone 7+.
