App works fine. But news thats curated reflects a totally left bias. Thats the only way that Huffington Post could be in the top left slot for headlines, followed by all liberal media sources, with not a single conservative site listed.

Once I downloaded this app I have stayed current with the news locally, statewide, nationally , and in the world. The news reports are right on and informative.

How can the main feeds be consistently The Washington Post and Los Angeles Times? Clearly whoever is tweaking the algorithm has a decidedly left-leaning bias. They are very careful to sparingly direct stories from Huffington Post and The Daily Beast, but dont worry - youll get just enough of those as well. I know: Im over 50, how can I possibly have a reasonable worldview? The New Elect on Google Campus have a "higher" understanding of the world and it is their mission to correct my own. I figured that the ability to select reading articles based on their AMP compatibility would mean that the articles would load fast AND with minimal bandwidth requirements. Boy was I wrong. Google News articles are just as fat as regular news and if anything, I think its worse than looking at an o line news source because it preloads ALL the articles, even ones you arent going to read

App works great, but youll only see what they want you to see. Just give me an unbiased news platform. Let me decide which party I want to associate with.

I find one sided bias to left media. That is wrong in a democratic society.

If I wanted corrupted Fox news BS Id get their app. If you want to control what sources this news app pulls from, youre out of luck. Why is it so hard to make a news app that lets the user control the news sources? Seriously Google, why? Yes Ive used my Google account to edit what sources I want to see material from, but you still force feed me things from Fox news. Im not using any news app that contains Fox news. Period.

Can choose content topics, but cant weed out news sources, as with the desktop version.

Honestly, I dont like the way Googles algorithm sources stories for me. I want to get stories and news I wouldnt have been informed about. It seems that if I make a Google search for something, Google now thinks I like that topic and I start seeing stories about that topic in the app.

The app has the straightforward and simple interface I like. Preloading of stories and pictures takes a toll on cell data.

I like the way the news is aggregated generally, though I wish more customization features existed and for a way to turn off news from less reliable, tabloidy publications.
